This Privacy Policy explains how GAMES MART (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit gamesmart.in or buy from us. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are

GAMES MART is a retailer of video games, gaming consoles and accessories based in Porbandar, Gujarat, India. For any privacy question, contact us using the details in section 11.

2. Information we collect

  • Order and account details: your name, mobile number, email address, billing and shipping address, and order history.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password. We only receive the payment status and a transaction reference.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp, and product reviews you post.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and cookies (see section 6).

3. How we use your information

  • To process, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns and refunds.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and to reply to your queries.
  • To create and manage your customer account.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse of our website and payment systems.
  • To keep records required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws.
  • To send offers and new-arrival updates, only if you agree. You can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share only what is necessary with:

  • Razorpay, to process online payments;
  • Shiprocket and its courier partners, to deliver your order (name, phone number and address);
  • Our hosting and email providers, who store our website and send our emails;
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities, when we are legally required to.

These partners may only use your data to provide their service to us.

5. Data retention

We keep your account details for as long as your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws. After that, your data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in, remember your preferences and understand how our website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

7. How we protect your data

Our website uses an SSL (https) connection, access to customer data is limited to authorised staff, and payments are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you;
  • correct or update inaccurate data;
  • delete your data, unless we must keep it by law (for example, invoices);
  • withdraw your consent to marketing messages;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Send your request to the Grievance Officer (section 11). We will respond within 15 days.

9. Children

Our website is meant for users aged 18 or above. Anyone younger should use the website and place orders only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top.
